Jeremy Ryan/Black River EntertainmentIt’s been quite a year for newcomer Kelsea Ballerini. On the heels of her debut single, “Love Me Like You Mean It,” going number one, she was nominated for two CMA Awards. Even though she didn’t take home a trophy, it didn’t seem to faze her– because she’s an admitted awards show junkie.

“Yeah, I’m an awards show– like I love awards shows. And I would like DVR them and then watch them over and over again to see like acceptance speeches and who sits with who,” she confesses. “Yeah, I love that stuff!”

Sunday night at the American Music Awards, the “Dibs” singer gets a rematch of sorts with two of her fellow CMA Female Vocalist nominees.

“So it’s Favorite Female Country Artist. It’s me, Carrie [Underwood] and Miranda [Lambert]. It’s fan-voted. And it’s an all-genre awards show and I get to go represent country music and I am so proud!”

Kelsea will also get to try her hand as presenter at the AMAs. You can catch the show live from Los Angeles starting at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday night on ABC.
