Carnival Records/Thirty TigersThe little girl from the “I Hope You Dance” video is all grown up now; and even though most fans may have first caught a glimpse of Aubrie Sellers in the sentimental clip for her mother Lee Ann Womack’s biggest hit, she’s now blazing her own musical trail with her debut album, New City Blues.

“All my memories are sitting on the bus, listening to my mom play and sing, always being on the way to somewhere else… and I love it,” she says.

Aubrie’s rich musical heritage doesn’t end there. Her father is singer/songwriter Jason Sellers, who wrote hits like “Goodnight Kiss” for Randy Houser and “Strange” for Reba. On her first project, her stepdad, producer Frank Liddell, known for his work with Miranda Lambert and David Nail, helps her craft a vision all her own, with 14 songs she wrote herself.

“I took my time with this record and focused on really developing the music and my point of view,” she says. “I am so glad I finally get to share it with the world.”

New City Blues is available now. You can check out her music video for “Sit Here and Cry” on YouTube.
