Warner Music NashvilleBlake Shelton returns to the road Friday night launching his Ten Times Crazier Tour 2014 in Austin, Texas. Due to his schedule taping NBC’s The Voice, Blake only tours during the summer and early fall these days, and that suits him just fine.

He says, “That’s basically all I do anymore. It’s all I really wanna do.”

Spending just a few months on tour does make it harder for Blake to feel at home on the road, though.

“It wasn’t until the end of the tour last year that I kinda felt like we were back in the groove, and I had my routine down,” Blake admits.

When it comes to getting ready for a show, Blake doesn’t have too many demands. He simply needs a good, strong drink before hitting the stage.

Says Blake, “I gotta have it just to loosen up and calm my nerves. That’s really about [it],  that and my guitar and I’m good to go. I think my people would tell you, other than the fact that I’m probably late to everything, that I’m pretty low-maintenance.”

Blake is taking out The Band Perry, Dan + Shay and Neal McCoy as his opening acts this summer. Go to BlakeShelton.com for a full list of tour dates.
