Warner Music Nashville/Katherine TylerIf you’ve spotted a photo lately of a fresh-faced Brett Eldredge, it turns out there’s a very specific reason he’s no longer sporting his familiar facial hair– and it all has to do with the follow-up to his chart-topping single, “Drunk on Your Love.”
“I’ve been waiting to tell people and I actually haven’t really told many people, so now I’m telling people I’m releasing my new single called ‘Wanna Be That Song’ here very very soon,” he reveals. “I just shot an amazing music video for it. I’m so excited!”
While he’s not revealing many details about the shoot, one thing is clear– the beard had to go!
“I had to shave my beard to– I can’t really tell what role I played to shave this beard, but this is the first time I’ve seen my face without a beard for quite awhile, so it’s pretty wild. But you know what? You’ve got to get into the role whatever it takes. I like to act too. So when you see the video, it’ll all make sense.”
“Wanna Be That Song” is the third single from Brett’s latest album, Illinois. “Lose My Mind” and “Drunk on Your Love” both went to number one.
