UMG/Sonya JasinskiBrothers Osborne are pushing the boundaries of modern country music with their new video for their top 20 hit “Stay A Little Longer.” The clip features real-life partners in different stages of their relationships, including a same-sex couple.

Earlier this year, Little Big Town found themselves in a bit of a controversy, after some listeners thought the lyrics to “Girl Crush” envisioned a lesbian affair. After Blake SheltonMiranda Lambert and Reba voiced their support for the song on social media, it went on to become one of the band’s biggest hits so far.

While the news release from Brothers Osborne’s label doesn’t specifically mention the all-male couple in the video, T.J. Osborne say simply, “It was an awesome day of shooting with great performances, especially given they are actual, real-life couples.”

“With this video, we’re trying to show that all relationships are the same,” John Osborne adds. “You have your trials and tribulations no matter who you are.”

Paste Magazine rolls out a behind-the-scenes feature on the video on Wednesday. Brothers Osborne are nominated for Vocal Duo at this year’s CMA Awards.
