New West RecordsThere’s new music on the way from Kacey Musgraves, Lee Ann Womack and Kris Kristofferson early next year, thanks to Buddy Miller. The renowned Americana artist and guitarist, who’s also the executive music producer on ABC’s Nashville, decided to set up a temporary recording studio on board the ship during the yearly Cayamo roots music cruise.

Buddy and Lee Ann recreated the Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn classic “After the Fire Is Gone,” while he teamed up with Kacey to turn Buck Owens‘ signature tune “Love’s Gonna Live Here” into a duet. For his part, Kristofferson recreated the Johnny Cash standard he wrote, “Sunday Morning Coming Down.”
