Book Discussion Group @ Senior Center
Jan 16 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

The Manhattan Book Discussion Group and the VIP (Visually Impaired Persons) Support Group will meet on Tuesday, January 16th, at the Senior Service Center.  The Book Group will meet at 1:00.  The title of this month’s book is “rosemary: The Hidden Kennedy Daughter” by Kate Clifford Lawson.  The VIP meeting will follow from 2:00 to 3:00.  There will not be a guest speaker.  Instead, they will have a share meeting and discuss ideas for future topics to cover in the monthly meetings.  Please contact Kathy at 539-1973 for more information.

Calving School @ Alta Vista Baptist Church

There will be a Calving School Meeting on Thursday, January 18th at the Alta Vista Baptist Church from 6:00 – 9:00 pm.  The program will be Calving Tips — When and How to Intervene, Assisting Cows vs First-calf Heifers, Calf Delivery Demo, Scour Prevention, and more.  Speakers will be Dr. A.J. Riley County Historical Society @ Manhattan Public Library

Time travel back to the 1880’s with the Riley County Historical Society and Museum in a three part series beginning Thursday, January 18th at the Manhattan Public Library from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.  The series looks back at Riley County and Manhattan during the pivotal period of the 1880’s exploring finances, fashion, fads, foods as well as residents, famous and infamous.  Everyone is welcome.  Admission is free.

Walking the Heartland Support Group Meeting @ University Christian Church

The Walking the Heartland Support Group will be meeting on Tuesday, January 23rd at 5:00 pm at 2800 Claflin Road.  If you are a heart patient or a caregiver for a heart patient, come to our support group meeting to network work others who have experienced this life changing event.

Coffee Shop Agronomy @ Nelson's Landing
