Sony Music Nashville/Ninelle EfremovaCam will spend the release day for her first full-length album, Untamed, hanging out with Cyndi Lauper. The “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” legend has invited the country newcomer to perform at her 5th annual Home for the Holidays benefit, alongside Boy George, Bon Jovi’s Richie Sambora, pop star Natasha Bedingfield, Valerie Simpson and others. The show at New York’s Beacon Theatre raises money for Lauper’s True Colors Fund, which works to end homelessness among LGBT youth.

No word on whether Cam might’ve become acquainted with the pop legend during her recent time in Nashville. After telling Britain’s BANG Showbiz she has her sights set on putting out a country album with Tony Brown next year, Lauper was spotted with the producer at the Country Music Hall of Fame’s Medallion Ceremony last month.

Both the release of Cam’s first album and Cyndi’s benefit happen on Friday, December 11. This week, Cam is enjoying her first top ten hit with “Burning House.”
