ABC/Bob D’AmicoBrad Paisley admits he’s crossing his fingers there’ll be no need for Game 7 in this year’s World Series, since that would put Major League Baseball’s season finale in competition with The 50th Annual CMA Awards. Even though many details about the golden anniversary of the show are top secret, his co-host Carrie Underwood is having a hard time containing her excitement.
“I’m gonna be honest and say that I think one of the best moments of country music history will happen on Wednesday. I know that’s a big statement…” Carrie says.
“So what are you performing?” Brad jokes.
“It’s definitely not that,” she laughs, “but there’s some cool stuff happening that will be remembered!”
A who’s-who of country music royalty will be on hand, including everyone who’s ever hosted the show.
“All of them that I can think of are in the show. Let’s just say, ‘Just tune in everybody!’” Brad teases.
“And every Female Vocalist, Male Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year was invited,” Carrie adds.
“I hope I’m not giving anything away, but that’s all right — the front of the audience are past winners and nominees. But no, it’s true. It’s gonna be really special to look out and see five male vocalists of the year sitting there,” Brad says.
