Capitol NashvilleAn 18-year-old man who had been accused of raping a 17-year-old girl at a Keith Urban concert in the Boston area in July is no longer facing charges.
Massachusetts’ The Sun Chronicle reports Assistant District Attorney Mary-Elizabeth Mack told a judge the case against Sean Murphy was dropped following “extensive” conversations with the accuser, noting that the girl agreed with the decision.
A lawyer for Murphy described the encounter as a “consensual act.”
The concert at the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts, made news when 46 people had to be treated for alcohol-related illnesses, and several alcohol-related arrests were made.
