Johnny Cash made his Grand Ole Opry debut at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium! He also met his future wife, June Carter, for the first time. It must’ve been love at first-sight!

Michael Jackson and his financial partner, Don Barden, announced their intentions to build a lavish entertainment complex, The Majestic Kingdom, in Detroit! This adult-entertainment center would include a theme park, hotel, casino, botanical garden and nightclub.

It never happened. Detroit’s city commission shot down their application for a permit…TWICE! 

Apparently nothing in Detroit is majestic these days:

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, opened in theaters! It was the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie, starring Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow!

This makes me wanna be a dirty, smelly pirate!

Oh wait…I just need to add “pirate” to be so…
