While they can’t reveal which song they’re singing just yet, LBT promises there will be a lot of people onstage for the performance.

As for Ariana Grande, Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild is absolutely floored by the young singer’s vocal power.

Karen says, “She’s an incredible singer. You listen to her live, if you YouTube her performance of whatever it is, she always nails it. I mean, it’s incredible!”

Kacey Musgraves Happy to See Her Equality Anthem, “Follow Your Arrow,” Up for CMA Song of the Year

Image Courtesy Mercury NashvilleKacey Musgraves is going into Wednesday night’s 48th Annual CMA Awards with a somewhat surprising nomination for “Follow Your Arrow” in the Song of the Year category. Even though “Follow Your Arrow” didn’t have a big impact at country radio, Kacey is happy to see the CMA recognize the song’s message of equality and acceptance.

She says, “It really is a shocker, and I think it says a lot for, not only where country music is heading, but kind of just where humans are heading, and I think it’s cool that I got to be a small part of that.”

Kacey has had the opportunity to perform “Follow Your Arrow” at the GLAAD Media Awards in New York City earlier this year. While Kacey is an outspoken supporter of gay rights, she thinks “Follow Your Arrow” has a message for everyone who marches to their own beat.

As for the Song of the Year nod, Kacey adds, ” I think that is just a testament to when someone feels a connection to a message, and it makes them feel a little bit better about who they are.”

“Follow Your Arrow” is also up for Video of the Year at this Wednesday night’s CMA Awards. The show airs live on ABC at 8 ET.

Cole Swindell’s CMA Awards Nomination Could Have Gotten Him Arrested for Indecent Exposure

Image Courtesy CMACole Swindell got the news about his New Artist of the Year nomination at this year’s CMA Awards just after he stepped out of the shower. His manager was blowing up his phone via text and phone calls telling him to call her back immediately.

“I thought something was wrong,” Cole recalls.

When Cole got in touch with his manager and found out about the big news, he ran out on his back porch in nothing but a towel.

Cole recalls, “I look over and my good-looking neighbor’s in there in the backyard and I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ I had to go get dressed and apologize to her for that, but I couldn’t help it. That’s just me, man. I was so excited.”

Cole is thankful to the CMA voters for recognizing all his hard work this year. The only thing that would make Wednesday night’s CMA Awards sweeter would be having his mother with him as his date.

Cole explains, “She’s having back surgery in the first of December,  and we’re gonna get her back better. ‘Cause these are the kinds of things I want her to be — she’s about all I got left family-wise besides some brothers and a grandmother.”

The 48th Annual CMA Awards broadcast live from Nashville Wednesday, November 5 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood Ready for Seventh Turn as CMA Awards Co-Hosts

Image Courtesy ABCBrad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are hosting the CMA Awards together for a seventh time Wednesday night, so they’re feeling pretty confident as the clock ticks down to show time.

Brad says, “Our roles are established where as she holds down the fort as extremely eloquent and funny and brilliant up there, and I’m an idiot. And it really does work that way. It really kind of feels like that’s the role that we’ve fallen into in a good way.”

Even though the headlines have been intense lately with the Ebola scare dominating the news cycle, Brad and Carrie have found ways to include current events in their monologue as usual.

“It’s the angle that’s the most important thing,” Carrie explains. “Like, there’s certain things that you can’t just make fun of, but there’s certain things about them you can go at from a side angle. You know, people’s reactions to different things and not the things themselves.”

Carrie’s pregnancy will undoubtedly come up throughout the night, and it’s been rumored her baby bump will prevent Carrie from making as many costume changes as usual this year. Brad is willing to help keep the fashion aspect of the show alive, though.

“I’ll wear a couple of her [outfits],” Brad says. “I hate to see something that she paid for not get showcased properly on television. No, I’ve got a little baby bump myself. It’s fine.”

Carrie adds, “He’s been gaining sympathy weight.”

Look for Brad to perform his latest single, “Perfect Storm,” on the CMA Awards. Carrie is also expected to sing her new song, “Something in the Water.” The 48th Annual CMA Awards air live from Nashville Wednesday, November 5 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
