Luke Bryan’s Brother-in-Law Passes Away

Image Courtesy CMACondolences to Luke Bryan on the death of his brother-in-law, Ben Lee Cheshire. He passed away over the weekend and was the husband of Luke’s late sister, Kelly. Luke is in Georgia with his family and will officiate Lee’s funeral service on Tuesday. That means he won’t be performing at CMT Artists of the Year Tuesday night.

According to the obituary in the Albany Herald, Lee was 46-years-old. Luke’s sister, Kelly, died in 2007 at age 39.

Eric Church, Kenny Chesney and Lady A Added to “CMT Artists of the Year” Lineup

Merle will be on hand for the show along with Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, NASCAR’s Danica Patrick, rocker Chris Cornell and hip-hop star Wiz Khalifa.

Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban are this year’s CMT Artists of the Year. Due to a death in his family, Luke Bryan won’t be appearing on the show. CMT Artists of the Year airs live from Nashville Tuesday night at 8 ET on CMT and VH1.

Garth Brooks Taking His World Tour to Buffalo, New York March 6 and 7

The show will take place at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo.

Carrie Underwood Joining U2 for World AIDS Day Concert Tonight in New York City

The event also features Bruce Springsteen and Coldplay‘s Chris Martin. U2 lead singer, Bono, will not be there since he is still recovering from a bike accident last month.

The concert will stream live on YouTube at starting at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Artists Announced for CRS 2015 New Faces of Country Music Show

Image Courtesy Aristo PRFrankie Ballard, Sam Hunt, Maddie & Tae, Eric Paslay and Cole Swindell have been selected to perform at the CRS 2015 New Faces of Country Music Show in Nashville. The industry-only event takes place February 27, and the performers are voted on by country radio station employees.

The showcase is a huge launching pad for country stars. Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Reba and Luke Bryan are among the stars who have performed at New Faces in the past.

Ronnie Dunn Hints at Brooks & Dunn Reunion

Image Courtesy Little Will-EIs there a Brooks & Dunn reunion in the works? It certainly looks that way based on Ronnie Dunn‘s recent Facebook post mentioning Kix Brooks.

On November 26, Ronnie posted a message saying, “…Talking to Kix. He’s talking back.” In the comments on that post, Ronnie stopped short of confirming a reunion, but he did say he and Kix were never completely on the outs as a friends.

Ronnie is expected to make a very big career announcement later this week.

Darius Rucker Added to “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” Lineup

He joins previously announced performers Trisha Yearwood, LeAnn Rimes, Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett and Idina Menzel. Mariah Carey will open the show singing “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

Christmas in Rockefeller Center airs Wednesday night at 8 ET on NBC.

RaeLynn Performing “God Made Girls” on “The Voice” Tuesday Night
