Jerrod Niemann Sharing the Spotlight with Historic Ryman Auditorium Friday Night

Image Courtesy Arista NashvilleJerrod Niemann can’t wait to entertain the crowd at his Friday night show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, but he knows he’ll be sharing the spotlight with the building itself.

Jerrod says, “The Ryman is truly one of the only places in the world that, no matter who plays there, it’s still the Ryman. You know, it’s the star of the show.”

The former home of the Grand Ole Opry has hosted music legends such as Patsy Cline, Hank Williams and Elvis Presley. Musical memories are still being made on the Ryman stage as it hosts star-studded events like the ACM Honors and return visits from the Grand Ole Opry as well as high-profile concerts

“Just to go into the Ryman is always fun, and I’ve been onstage a couple times with friends,” Jerrod adds. “But to be able to headline it, it’s one of those –  not to be cliché –  surreal moments that hasn’t set in.”

Jerrod also hopes to coerce some of his famous friends to make special appearances at his Friday night show. We’ll keep you posted on who shows up.

Florida Georgia Line Already Rolling Out New Songs from “Anything Goes” in Their Live Show

Republic NashvilleWhile Florida Georgia Line‘s latest hit, “Dirt,” continues its climb to the top of the country airplay chart, the duo is getting a head start on a new video for a brand-new song called “Sun Daze.” FGL’s Brian Kelley confirmed via Instagram they were filming the clip in Nashville this week.

As previously reported, “Sun Daze” contains a reference to getting stoned, but FGL’s Tyler Hubbard tells ABC News Radio they’ve got an edited version of the song suited for country radio.

He says, “Man, it was actually a Sunday when we finished it, and it just fit perfectly. So, we love that song. Wanted to cut it, and definitely did a little radio edit. We’re excited about playing that one live, for sure.”

“Dirt” and “Sun Daze” are both included on Florida Georgia Line’s upcoming album, Anything Goes, and they’ve already added the title track to their set list.

“That’s a fun one,” Tyler says. “That gets the crowd going. They don’t even know it yet.”

Tyler also highlights a new song called “Every Night” he expects will get a big reaction from concert crowds. Look for FGL’s new album, Anything Goes, to come out October 14.

Justin Moore Getting His Sleep on the Road Since Baby, Rebecca Klein, Arrived in July

Valory Music Co. Justin Moore and his wife, Kate, haven’t been getting much rest since they welcomed their third daughter, Rebecca Klein, in July.

Justin says, “I’m definitely having to go on the road right now to get sleep. She’s happy and healthy and doing great, but she doesn’t like to sleep too much.”

While he loves his three daughters, Justin would like to have a boy one day. That doesn’t mean he’s ready to start trying for one any time soon.

“My wife told me the other day, it was like four in the morning, we were up with the baby, she goes, ‘I could do this again,’” Justin says with a laugh. “I said, ‘Get away from me. I’m going to work. Leave me alone.’  So, I don’t know. She can’t keep her hands off of me.”

Justin is getting some good sleep in between shows on Miranda Lambert‘s Platinum tour this weekend.

Kenny Chesney Opens Up About His College Football Playstation Addiction, Drinking with George Strait

Image Courtesy Allister Ann/Sony Music NashvilleIf Kenny Chesney goes on a little late for one of his concerts next year, it might be because he’s sitting on his bus, playing NCAA Football on his Playstation. Kenny admits he’s “pretty addicted” to the video game.

Looking back on his 2013 tour, Kenny tells People, “Several nights my tour manager would come on the bus and say, ‘It’s time to go onstage,’ when I’m in the middle of the fourth quarter, and I’m like, ‘They can wait!’”

Kenny is no couch potato, though. He gets up really early every day to work with his trainer after eating five egg whites and one whole egg scrambled with peppers and coconut oil.  “That’s my daily ritual,” he says.

Kenny has been known to splurge on his diet, but he prefers to get his calories from alcohol over fried foods. He had his last hangover back in June, the morning after George Strait‘s final tour stop at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

“George invited a lot of acts, and there was a big party [after the show],” Kenny says. “The next day was awful. The mixture of stuff was what killed me.”

For more of Kenny’s confessions, pick up the latest issue of People.
