Lee tells ABC News Radio, “I just want to be with the family, man. We’re on the road so much that any chance I get vacation or time for myself is gonna be time with them.”
Lee is letting his wife Sarah plan the family’s Father’s Day activities but he has a feeling they’ll wind up at a water park or hanging out at the pool.
“I’m a water baby. I like water, so I’m OK with that,” Lee says.
On the music front, Lee’s new album, I Don’t Dance, is due out September 9. The title track is now climbing the country chart.
CMAThe Band Perry‘s Kimberly Perry is a married woman. According to The Tennessean, Kimberly married Texas Rangers pitcher J.P. Arencibia on Thursday at a church in her hometown of Greenville, TN. Carrie Underwood was on hand to watch the couple exchange vows. Fan photos from the ceremony are starting to pop up on Twitter, too.
Kimberly wasn’t exactly a hands-on bride with all the wedding details, though.
She says, “When it came time to plan a wedding, I had zero foundation for ideas. So, my mother, who of course styles the three of us — we’re sort of like her blank canvases — hat has poured over into wedding mode, so we have put all the details in her hands.”
Kimberly and J.P. got engaged at Kimberly’s parents’ house last fall.

Photo Credit: Ash NewellTaylor Swift ends The RED Tour with a final show in Singapore on Thursday. She launched the trek back in March 2013 and has since played sold-out shows in North America and Europe before becoming the first woman in 20 years to headline stadiums in Australia late last year. The final string of Asian shows began June 4 in Jakarta. The RED Tour is Taylor’s third major outing following her Fearless and Speak Now treks.
Now that The RED tour is behind her, Taylor can turn her full attention to launching her fifth studio album later this year. Her record label president, Scott Borchetta, tells Rolling Stone she’s working with pop producer Max Martin on most of the new project, which promises to continue the pop leanings of RED. Taylor will still keep a foothold in the country market though.
Scott says, “Taylor fans are going to love it. Will country stations play a complete pop song just because it’s her? No. But when she comes to town, her friends at country radio will come and see her.”
As she did with the first single from RED, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” Taylor is expected to announce the lead track from her fifth album before summer’s end.
Republic NashvilleThe Band Perry was up for 24 hours straight shooting the video for their latest single, “Chainsaw,” in the Pacific Northwest.
The group’s Reid Perry says, “[It was] one of the longest shoots we did, but it was a great time.”
In the clip, the Perry siblings are on call to chop down the trees where heartbroken people have carved their initials with their former lovers.
“We’re actually musicians by night in the video and, you know, I guess, avengers of unrequited love by day,” Reid explains, “and so we go out, and yeah, we’ll find the trees with the hearts carved in it and take ‘em down.”
Lead singer Kimberly Perry is quick to point out they didn’t just go out into the woods and cut down random trees.
She says, “It was also important for us that we cut trees from a lumber yard. So, those trees are literally making houses as we speak.”
“Chainsaw” is the latest single from The Band Perry’s sophomore album, Pioneer.
