Lady A’s Hillary Scott Stepping into Character for “Bartender” Performance on “American Idol”

Green Room PRLady Antebellum debuts their brand-new single, “Bartender,” on the American Idol season finale Wednesday night. Band member Hillary Scott is excited to show off her fun, sassy side singing lead vocals for this performance.

She says, “It’s gonna be a great fun one to really interact with Charles and Dave and just really get all the girls involved and excited about it hopefully in the audience.”

Since “Bartender” is written and performed from a strong female perspective, Hillary’s band mate Charles Kelley is proud of Lady A’s role in representing women on country radio.

“This is really heavy Hillary on this,” Charles says, “and it’s like, what a great time to kinda go, ‘There’s still some strong females.’ Even though she’s a part of a group, she’s still representing that and helping carry that flag along with Miranda and Carrie and all the other girls.”

Tune in to see Lady Antebellum perform “Bartender” on American Idol‘s season finale Wednesday night at 8 ET on Fox. Jennifer Nettles is also slated to perform with Idol finalist Jess Meuse on the finale.
