Image Courtesy Barry CantrellChase Bryant got to team up with Michael McDonald for a cover of The Doobie Brothers classic “Takin’ It to the Streets.” The collaboration was captured on camera as part of Kia’s Rediscovered series on YouTube as a tie-in with the upcoming YouTube Music Awards. Michael actually surprised Chase in the studio as the young singer was recording the song.
Chase says, “To be able to say I got to work with Michael McDonald, whose music was the soundtrack to many years of my life, is something I’ll cherish for years, thanks to Kia. Great music never dies.”
The Rediscovered series also includes footage of Chase playing tour guide at Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry House and historic Orbison Building near Music Row. Chase is the first country artist to take part in Kia’s Rediscovered series, which pairs new acts with established stars for collaborations.
