Image Courtesy Jon-Paul Bruno/NRA CountryChase Rice grew up hunting and riding four-wheelers on his family’s 15-acre horse farm in Florida, so it’s fitting he’s been chosen as the NRA Country Featured Artist for August.
Says Chase, “We went to church on Sundays and learned about Jesus, and then my dad would drink a beer that same afternoon while my mom cooked for me and my brothers. I don’t really know what people call ‘country’ anymore, but that was, and is, my version of country and I love it.”

There’s also a contest to win a Chase Rice prize pack, including an autographed copy of his debut album, Ignite the Night, due out August 19. The lead single from that project, “Ready Set Roll,” has already been certified gold.
