Cliff Lipson/CBSChris Stapleton’s Traveller continues to fill his mantle with awards. The album took home the Best Country Album award at Sunday night’s 58th annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Traveller’s title track won the Grammy for Best Country solo performance.
Little Big Town had a good night as well. Their hit single “Girl Crush” won Best Country Duo/Group Performance, as well as the Best Country Song songwriters award.
And there was a bittersweet win for Glen Campbell. The soundtrack to the country legend’s biopic Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me won the Grammy for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media. The film documents Campbell’s final concert performances as he fought the effects of Alzheimer’s Disease.
