Sony Music NashvilleChris Young had to stop his show to break up a fight Friday night in Glen Falls, New York. Two guys starting hitting each other right in front of the stage at the all-ages show.

Chris tells ABC News Radio, “I’m like, ‘Man, just calm down. Chill out. There’s no need for that. Don’t bring people you don’t like to the concert!'”

Instead of insisting the guys be thrown out, Chris told them they could stay if they just stopped fighting.

“I was like, ‘Drink beer. Have a good time,'” Chris says. “‘That’s what we’re here for. It’s a concert. You’re just supposed to enjoy yourself. It’s supposed to be 90 minutes of not worrying about anything bad.'”

Aside from that one incident, Chris had a great time breaking in his new concert set over the weekend. The new stage show features huge videos walls and state-of-the-art lighting.

Chris says, “It’s great seeing people respond the way that we had hoped they would. There’s so many people who’ve been on Facebook and Twitter talking about how great it was.”

Chris joins Dierks Bentley‘s Riser tour starting Friday night in Charlotte, North Carolina.
