Monarch PublicityChris Young has shot down rumors he played a role in Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert‘s divorce. In the aftermath of the former couple’s announcement on Monday, reports of infidelity in the marriage have been rampant with Chris’s name coming up as the other man in an affair with Miranda Lambert. He denied that claim in a Twitter post Tuesday afternoon.
It says, “I don’t normally address gossip but in this case I will. My name has been mentioned as a contributing factor in Blake and Miranda’s divorce. That is totally FALSE. They are both my friends and I would not betray that friendship. Just want to clear that up. Love you guys.”
Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced their divorce through a joint statement on Monday. They were married in 2011 in Texas and have no children.
