Warner NashvilleThis week, “You Should Be Here” becomes Cole Swindell’s fifth number-one, as it ascends to the top spot on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart. What’s even better, according to Cole, is where he was when he found out the tribute to his late father had reached the pinnacle.

“Finding out that you have the number one song in the country while backstage at the Grand Ole Opry is the coolest feeling in the world,” he told Billboard. “This song is so special to me, and just hearing fans’ stories and the way country radio has embraced it is amazing. I’m a lucky guy and I know my Dad is smiling down right now, so proud.”

Cole’s album, which takes its title from the song, is due May 6. From now through the end of May, fans can order a digital copy of the album on his website, to be sent to an active duty member of the military. A dollar from the purchase price will also go to the USO, as part of the celebration of its 75th anniversary.
