The cBrian Armasountry community shared its love, support and condolences for the family and friends of Craig Strickland, after the body of the Backroad Anthem lead singer was found Monday. Strickland disappeared a week earlier after going duck hunting during a winter storm. The body of his friend Chase Morland was discovered on December 28.

“Rest easy you will be missed. Can’t imagine the music you’re makin now. God got a good one in you,” Justin Moore tweeted. The band’s career was on the upswing, having been noticed by Justin’s manager after they opened a date for him. Their debut EP, Torn, was released digitally last fall.

The guys in Parmalee sent their good wishes via Twitter as well, having worked with Backroad Anthem too — “Our hearts&prayers go out to our friends & their families. It was an honor to have shared the stage with Craig.”

“Everyone please say a prayer for the families & friends going through this tragedy,” Cole Swindell added. “I am so sorry to hear about this.”

Backroad Anthem responded to the outpouring of kindess in a post on their Facebook page Monday evening:

“We want to thank every single friend, fan, and family member for your thoughts, prayers, and love. Today he is smiling down on us and we know he will always be with us. He will always be here to help guide us along the way. We love you Craig Strickland and we will forever miss you!”
