Triangle magazine in Springfield, MA, published the rules for a brand new game.

 

The original rules involved attaching a peach baskets to a suspended board.

 

It is now known as basketball!

The Miracle On The Hudson!

After hitting a flock of geese, US Airways Flight 1549 from LaGuardia airport to Charlotte, NC, was forced to land on the the Hudson River!

 

All 150 passengers and 5 crew members survived!

 

Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger was hailed as the Hero of the Hudson for his quick landing!
