Image Courtesy Nino Munoz/Capitol NashvilleDierks Bentley‘s career has hit the stratosphere in the past year thanks to his massive hit, “Drunk on a Plane.” He’ll perform it on Wednesday night’s CMA Awards, where he’s up for five trophies, including Male Vocalist and Single of the Year for “Drunk on a Plane.”
Dierks says of his CMA Awards performance, “It should look pretty big. It should be a great moment for the song. I feel like what’s cool about it is it’s been such a huge song. This will be a nice way to kinda wrap it up and put a bow on it with getting a chance to perform it on the CMAs.”
Performing on the CMA Awards is always a big thrill for Dierks, but he’s really got his sights set on taking one of those trophies home with him.
“I’ll be really excited,” Dierks says of a possible CMA win. “I’ve learned after living in this town for as long not to ride the roller coaster too hard, but if I were to win something, I’d take a pass on that mentality and go crazy.”
The 48th Annual CMA Awards broadcast live Wednesday night at 8 ET on ABC.
