Image Courtesy Nino MunozDierks Bentley’s annual Miles & Music for Kids bike ride and concert is set for Sunday in Nashville, and Dierks says it could be their biggest event yet.
“It’s completely sold out, I think, as far as the ride goes,” Dierks explains. “There’s no tickets left at all. No VIP tickets left.”
While he’s grateful to Kip Moore, Chris Young, Jon Pardi and Randy Houser for agreeing to perform at Sunday’s concert at Riverfront Park, Dierks wants to shine a light on the policemen and policewomen who give up their Sunday to volunteer every year to make the event possible. The bike ride starts at the Harley-Davidson of Columbia, 40 miles south of downtown Nashville. The owner of that dealership, Ricky Kelley, has been getting a ton of texts and emails from police officers looking forward to working the event.
Dierks says, “It’s a Sunday. These guys have been looking forward to being out there, and girls being out there, and giving up their time and blocking off roads and riding their motorcycles with us.”
Proceeds from Miles & Music for Kids go to the Monroe Carell, Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville. The event has raised more than $2.6 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the country since Dierks started it nearly a decade ago.
