Greenroom PROn Sunday, Dierks Bentley marked the 10th year of his Miles and Music fundraiser with a sold out show at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater. In the past decade, the motorcycle ride and concert has raised more than three million dollars to help Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. The father of three says he’s honored to be able to give back, as both Music City and the hospital grow.

“Ten years now, it started out very small and now our tenth year, we’re playing at the new Ascend Amphitheater and you know I look around, out of this window I can see 5 or 6 cranes, you know, going up. It’s just crazy what’s going on in Nashville,” he observes. “So you know the hospital is still in need of funding. They’re trying to build four more floors on the hospital, so every little bit helps.”

Dierks’ pals Florida Georgia LineCole SwindellCanaan Smith, and Thomas Rhett all took time out of their hectic CMA week schedules to help him out.

“It’s a busy week, you know, trying to get in and finding time to rehearse with those guys,” Thomas said, referring to his scheduled CMA performance with Fall Out Boy.  “And you know, preparing your mind if you win New Artist, what are you going to say? And it’s just an exciting week. It’s a week where all your buddies are finally in town and you get to go to an awards show and hang out with them because we’re all gone so much that we don’t hardly get to see anybody, but I’m just looking forward to it, and hopefully we win, and if not, it’s all good and I’m glad I’m getting to perform on the CMAs for the first time.”

You can catch performances from Thomas, Dierks, and Florida Georgia Line Wednesday on the 49th Annual CMA Awards, live from Nashville at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
