CTK Mgmt/Dolly Records/WebsterPRDolly Parton and Katy Perry are busy getting ready for their performance together at Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards. Right now, it looks like the two will do a medley of two of the superstar from East Tennessee’s biggest hits.

“We talked last night for a long time. What we’re gonna do — I kinda worked up a little medley of ‘The Coat of Many Colors’ and ‘Jolene’ that we’re planning to do, and how we could swap it off,” she tells ABC Radio. “And I called her, I said, ‘If you have any ideas, just tell me. We’ll decide when we get there.’ So we’ve got the band, we’ve got a couple of days to rehearse and we’ll decide on who’s gonna sing what part and who’s gonna sing which line. So, we’re both looking forward to it. I love her. She’s great. I don’t know her — yet!”

Even though the two are just getting acquainted, it turns out Katy has spent some time in Dolly’s hometown.

“She’s been to Dollywood though! She brought some fans, I mean some friends, down. So they said she’s just having a big time out on the rides and eating all the food, and I thought that was cute. Different ones come,” Dolly adds. “Miley [Cyrus] [has] been here two or three times and she’s brought friends here. So I think that’s great.”

In addition to Dolly’s performance, the Academy of Country Music will also give her its Tex Ritter Award for her hit TV movie Coat of Many Colors. You can watch the 51st Annual ACM Awards live from Las Vegas Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
