Justin Nolan KeyDustin Lynch’s steamy new video for his hit “Mind Reader” emphasizes the aspect of the song that caught the “Hell of a Night” hitmaker’s attention from the very start.
“A little sexier thing,” he says of the third single from his Where It’s At album. “I’ve always loved the song and I love performing it live because it allows me to do a little flirting onstage. Yeah, ‘Mind Reader’ is kicking butt for us!” he adds.
Shot on the banks of the Cumberland River in downtown Nashville, Dustin’s dramatic vision for the song includes a tarot-card-reading love interest and a serious kiss in a classic car. “The video was so much fun to create. Here’s to great date nights…And ladies it’s awesome if you make the first move!” he laughs, referencing the clip’s story line.
Now that the song has hit the top 10, Dustin says he’s particularly enjoying playing it in concert.
“We’ve hit, I think, that point on the chart now where people are really starting to hear it a lot. So when we play the first note in our shows, there’s that instant recognition and excitement. I’m not used to that yet, like Luke Bryan is, so it makes me happy.”
