Image Courtesy Broken Bow RecordsDustin Lynch‘s live show has gotten a big shot in the arm from his feel-good hit, “Where It’s At.” He’s never had a fun hit song like this during the summertime.
Dustin tells ABC News Radio, “The crowds we have coming out are exploding. You know, the energy they’re bringing to our shows are the best I’ve ever felt in my life. I’m having so much fun making music right now.”
“Where It’s At” is the lead single and title cut from Dustin’s upcoming studio album. He’s been playing random pop-up shows across the country to share the new music with fans. Fans have to pay attention to Dustin’s social media accounts to find out where these events take place.
He says, “It’s a fun kind of deal ’cause we leak where we’re at last minute. You know, we’ll have however many people show up last minute. And the energy’s great. It can be from anywhere — we’ve had 12 people show up to 200-something.”
Most of these Find Where It’s At pop-up shows are scheduled on days Dustin would have off in between shows. He doesn’t mind giving up that downtime to hang out with his fans, though.
Dustin says, “It’s fun to do. It beats sitting in a Walmart parking lot with the band dudes.”
Dustin’s new album, Where It’s At, comes out September 9.
