Tim McGraw Giving More Homes to U.S. Soldiers This Summer

Big Machine Label GroupTim McGraw is honoring U.S. service men and women in a big way on every stop of his Two Lanes of Freedom tour this summer. As he did last year, Tim has teamed up with Chase and Operation HomeFront to give away 31 mortgage-free homes to U.S. military personnel.

Says Tim, "I couldn't think of a better program to be involved in. I couldn’t think of anything better to do than to give those guys a home, a mortgage-free home for the rest of their lives."

More Star Power Added to CMA Music Festival’s Fan Fair X Event

Big EnterprisesThe CMA Music Festival's Fan Fair X event has added more star power. Wynonna will give a performance and participate in a Q&A session on Friday, June 7, and Ronnie Dunn will talk about his artistic endeavors as a photographer on Thursday, June 6.

Randy Travis and George Jones' widow Nancy Jones will also take part in a panel discussion about the late Country Music Hall of Famer on Friday, June 7.

Other artists appearing at Fan Fair X this year include Lady Antebellum, Kristian Bush, Florida Georgia Line, Josh Turner, Kip Moore, Dustin Lynch, Little Big Town, Chris Young and Brantley Gilbert. Cast members from A&E's Duck Dynasty will also sign autographs.

Taylor Swift Trespasser Pleads No Contest

Credit: Sarah BarlowWhile it's not clear exactly why he was on Taylor Swift's property, a man arrested for trespassing near her Rhode Island mansion has pleaded "no contest" in court Friday.

Twenty-two-year-old Lucas Vorsteveld was arrested May 15 at 2:15 in the morning after he swam to a private road near the mansion, which Taylor recently purchased for over 17 million bucks, reportedly in cash. He pleaded "no contest" to a misdemeanor charge of trespassing. The judge said the charge would be dismissed if he stays out of trouble, and steers clear of the property, which doesn't actually belong to Taylor.

Outside the court, Vorsteveld had no reply when asked by reporters if he owed Taylor an apology.

Taylor was probably not at the house during the incident, considering she's currently on tour -- she performed May 12 in Washington and May 16 in Houston, Texas.

Blake Shelton Announces Details for Tornado Relief Telethon Next Wednesday in Oklahoma City

Warner Music NashvilleBlake Shelton has lined up Miranda Lambert, Reba and Vince Gill to perform at his telethon, Healing in the Heartland: Relief Benefit Concert, coming up Wednesday, May 29 at Oklahoma City's Chesapeake Energy Center. More big names will be announced soon. The concert will be broadcast live on NBC that night at 9 p.m. ET. E!, Bravo and CMT will also air the special either live or on a delayed basis.

Blake grew up in Ada, OK, not far from where the devastating tornado struck Monday, May 20, and he currently lives in Tishomingo, OK.

"Everyone has their way to help, and mine as an entertainer is to perform to help raise money and awareness for this tragedy," Blake says. "This is why I want to do this special and especially hold it in Oklahoma City, which is near ground zero."

Proceeds from the telethon will go to the United Way of Central Oklahoma May Tornadoes Relief Fund. Tickets to the event go on sale Saturday morning through Ticketmaster.

Little Big Town Raises Big Money at Small Show for Blood: Water Mission

Capitol NashvilleLittle Big Town raised some big money playing a small show recently near Nashville. The group's show at Rolling Hills Farm in Franklin, TN brought in $115,000 for Blood: Water Mission, an organization working against the HIV/AIDS and water crises in Africa.

Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and Rascal Flatts guitarist Joe Don Rooney were in the audience. This concert was Little Big Town's second fundraiser for Blood: Water Mission.

Little Big Town heads to Virginia Beach, VA for a show Tuesday night.

The Band Perry Recalls Their Family’s Mississippi Memorial Day Tradition

Republic NashvilleBefore their touring schedule got out of hand, The Band Perry made it a point to head back to their grandmother's house in Mississippi for her church's annual Memorial Day event. After the service, the church has a huge potluck lunch, and the Perry siblings took that opportunity to interview a few soldiers a few years ago while they were working on their first album.

Reid Perry explains, "We just listened to a lot of the stories that they had to tell because there’s some amazing anecdotes."

His sister Kimberly Perry adds, "Unfortunately, so many of those folks who had told us those stories three short years ago are no longer with us, so it’s really like this moment in time that we’re trying to soak up before it’s gone away for us."

Eli Young Band Committed to Bringing a Little Joy to Military Families

Republic NashvilleThe Eli Young Band is making a point to meet with military families this year while on the road with Kenny Chesney's No Shoes tour. Those meet-and-greet sessions also include an acoustic performance by the band, and front man Mike Eli says it’s the least they can do for those helping defend our country.

Mike tells Gaithersburg, MD's The Gazette, “I have two brothers in the Marines, and to see what their families have gone through and to be a part of that has been incredibly eye opening. It’s tough for them. If my band can do something to bring a little joy to the family that has been through hell and back, by God, we’re going to do it."
