Warner Music NashvilleHe may only have one chart-topping single under his belt so far, but Chris Janson has already made it into the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. A display in the newly revamped ACM Gallery at the Hall is devoted to the “Buy Me a Boat” hitmaker, showcasing a Bocephus T-shirt he used to wear while playing the famed Tootsie’s honky tonk downtown, as well as his Fender harmonica and the $25 guitar he used to write all his well-known songs.

“Being a part of this exhibit is a top-three music achievement of my career,” he says. “It’s right up there with playing the Grand Ole Opry and having my songs played on country radio.”

Chris also recently had his caricature added to the wall at The Palm in Nashville. The frequent diner says his go-to meal is the Power Lunch — steak, onion strings and a wedge salad, plus a slice of plain cheesecake. His latest single, “Holdin’ Her,” is climbing the charts now.
