ABC RadioGeorge Strait and Chris LeDoux may be Garth Brooks’ heroes, but the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year says he’s open to some non-country collaborations if they’re “sincere.”

“I love Ed Sheeran,” Garth told the Beaumont Enterprise, before kicking off Rodeo Houston on Tuesday. “I think he’s fantastic. The guy’s so talented,” he said of the British pop superstar behind smashes like “Thinking Out Loud,” “Shape of You” and “Perfect.”

Garth also revealed he wrote with Pink last year, and has a little fascination with Lady Gaga.

“Gaga is kind of my girl,” Garth admitted. “She’s an entertainer, which I really like as well.”

Tuesday wasn’t the Oklahoma native’s only appearance at Rodeo Houston. He’ll be back to close the event on March 18. Both shows sold out in just minutes late last year.
