Nancy Seltzer & Assoc.Garth Brooks is back on the road after taking six weeks off for summer vacation. Even though rest and relaxation were part of the plan, Garth and his crew also used the time to give his world tour an upgrade. He believes any returning concertgoers may be surprised.

“Anybody that has seen the tour, get ready because screens — now they’re huge. Video has played a wonderful role, and these guys have proven their worth a thousand times over in how hard they work,” he says.

The consummate showman even made some changes to the platform on which he performs.

“The stage now has wings. You can get out a little closer, which is nice,” he explains. “A lot more lights. Just a lot more — a lot more cheese,” he jokes. “I’m a cheese guy. I just love it. Because, if you’re coming to a show, c’mon, man, let’s have some fun! Let’s overdo it, and let’s go over the top. And that’s what we’re doing!”

Having recently played for more than 100,000 fans in Dallas, Garth and wife Trisha Yearwood play Milwaukee this weekend, before heading to Cleveland, Phoenix and Salt Lake City. Tickets for the Utah shows go on sale today.
