Gun shots were fired in Aggieville Saturday night and the Riley County Police Department is asking the public for assistance.

Officers filed a report for criminal discharge of a firearm and disorderly conduct in the 1100 block of Moro Street in Manhattan at 1:15 a.m. Sunday morning. The RCPD posted a video of an altercation it believes is connected to the incident.

“We would like to speak to the male highlighted in the video below seen punching another person,” the RCPD said in a Facebook post Sunday afternoon. “He is described as a black male, medium build.

“You can see in the video, several people pull out their cell phones and begin recording. If you have video of this fight, or any knowledge of the people involved, we ask that you please contact the Riley County Police Department at (785) 537-2112 or Crime Stoppers at (785) 539-7777. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.”

RCPD Public Information Officer Hali Rowland told KMAN no weapon has been found and that no injuries were reported related to the reports of gun shots.
