Justin Nolan Key/Sweet Talk PRNot only is Dustin Lynch a country singer who has three number ones in a row under his belt, it turns out he’s also a pretty darn good hat salesman. The budding entrepreneur has been kicking around the idea of starting his own clothing line for some time now, and he finally got it off the ground with a simple chapeau.

“Stay Country clothing is something I’ve been working on since like 2010, just waiting on the right opportunity to push it. We just did, for fun, we did a run of hats — a simple Stay Country hat — and sold as many hats in one weekend than any artist had sold in a year. And my merch company just called me going, ‘Oh.My.Goodness! We have to move on this! Now, now, now, now’s the time!'”

Former Fashion Police host Kelly Osbourne even sported a camouflage Stay Country hat on Instagram not long ago, one Dustin gave her at last month’s Stagecoach Festival. Whether you’re from Los Angeles, California, or Tullahoma, Tennessee, the “Mind Reader” hitmaker designs his clothes to be a reflection of who you are.

“Stay Country is a statement that I live by, I believe in,” he says. “It’s about staying true to your roots, you know, especially in my lifestyle. It takes me all over the place but I always come back to my house, my home, and where I’m from and how I was brought up. It’s just about believing in who you are and staying true to yourself.”

You can check out Dustin’s apparel online now, and plans are in the works to eventually partner with a retailer. He’ll celebrate his new endeavor with a special concert on the closing Sunday of CMA Music Festival this year, playing downtown Nashville’s The Stage on June 12.
