Though he lost out on the cover to Nashville’s Chris Carmack, the “real life” hitmaker is one of the magazine’s 25 Most Beautiful People this year, alongside fellow celebs Kellie Pickler and model Martha Followill, who’s married to Jared Followill of Kings of Leon.
In an article that touts his “bright green eyes and megawatt smile,” Jake reveals he gets his hair cut by Ali Ryan at Nashville’s The Dry House, and has used Murray’s Superior Hair Dressing Pomade since he was a kid. He also says Kiehl’s facial firming moisturizer has changed his life.
“It’s really good. For about 31 years of my life, I never moisturized or used anything like that– ever,” he says. “It really changed my mornings — and evenings. It’s like the first time I got a Sonicare toothbrush. What have I been missing all this time?”
Jake goes on to say he believes a truly beautiful person is “someone who’s kind and gentle and gives more of themselves than they expect to gain.”
