Warner NashvilleYou can get a good look at Jana Kramer’s new little one in the latest issue of People. Jolie Rae Caussin will be two months old March 31, and the “Said No One Ever” singer says in some ways, becoming a new mother has been easier than she expected.
“I thought I was going to be freaking out. I had so much anxiety before she was born. I couldn’t remember the last time I changed a diaper,” Jana recalls, “and I was like, ‘How do you know what cry is what?’ But the mom instinct just kicked in, and all of a sudden I was like, ‘I’m the mom — I got this!’”
The ACM Female Vocalist of the Year nominee admits the Internet has been a great help when it comes to taking care of her “little strudel.” “I’m on Google 24/7,” she tells the magazine, “trying to figure out what to do and see what other moms say.”
Jana adds she’s looking forward to getting dressed up — and cleaned up — to walk the red carpet at this Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards.
“I don’t wear anything nice anymore, I have spit-up on me constantly. I haven’t showered in three days, and I’m not quite sure when I brushed my teeth last,” she confesses. “Yeah, I need some me time.”
