Broken Bow RecordsJason Aldean is prepping for this Sunday night’s ACM Awards by revealing a brand-new single.

“Lights Come On” is the first release from Jason’s forthcoming album, his seventh, which will be out this summer.  The song is now available at all digital retailers, and he’ll debut it live at the ACM Awards.

In a statement, Jason says, “This song is all about that rush you can only get from stepping on stage and listening to fans sing along to every word. It’s about throwing the biggest party from the floor to the top of the rafters for all those people who spent their paycheck to come see us.”

He adds, “We’re bringing it to Vegas this weekend and I can’t think of a better place to kick it off than at the ACMs.”

The rocking song describes the feeling of release and communal celebration that fans experience when they attend a concert. The chorus goes, “When the lights come on/Everybody’s screaming/Lighters in the sky/Yeah, everybody’s singing/Every word to every song/To the girl they’re taking home tonight/When the lights come on/Everybody’s feeling/A hallelujah high from the floor to the ceiling.”

You can check out the song’s lyric video now on Vevo.

Jason’s new album is the follow up to the platinum release Old Boots, New Dirt, which spun off three straight #1 hits.
