Jim Wright/Broken BowSaturday night, Jason Aldean wrapped up his Burn It Down Tour in West Palm Beach by presenting a check for more than $615,000 to Susan G. Komen South Florida. He raised the money by donating a portion of the ticket price from each of the more than two million seats he sold on this year’s trek.
“I know first-hand how important it is to find a cure for breast cancer,” Jason says, recalling the friend he lost to the disease in 2004 at the age of 29. “So, looking out from stage Saturday night at a sea of pink was a pretty cool way to end the tour. For ten years now the fans have been helping us support Komen and I know we’re going to keep it up until nobody has to fight the disease anymore.”
The Burn It Down Tour saw Jason become the first-ever country performer to headline at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. He heads out on the We Were Here Tour January 15 with Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses.
