Another student has been arrested for making a threat.

The Junction City Police Department announced late Tuesday afternoon a Junction City Middle School Resource Officer was advised of a student making a threat while in class.

The 15-year-old student was taken into to custody, interviewed and arrested on charges of criminal threat and transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.

The JCPD is stressing to the public that it will be treating all threats as credible and will act accordingly and will continue to work closely with USD 475 to keep children safe.

It’s the third such arrest and detention of a student in the Geary County/Fort Riley school system since Feb. 21.
