MCA NashvilleJosh Turner wants you to put down your razor for the month of November. The “Long Black Train” hitmaker is officially Chairman of the Beard for this year’s No Shave November fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Though the contest doesn’t officially start until Sunday, Josh already has quite a head start, since he’s already sporting a full beard. He’s enlisted his band and crew, The Backwoods Boys, as well, and he hopes you’ll join him too.
All you need to do is donate $30 and upload a date-stamped before photo on the official Facebook page. Then at the end of the month, you’ll post your after picture. The month ends with the Beard Bash in Nashville, where a champion is crowned.
In only three years, No Shave November has raised more than half a million dollars to help fight childhood cancer. Josh hopes to raise $200,000 more for St. Jude this year.
