Not only does Justin Moore break into the top ten this week with his latest hit, “You Look Like I Need a Drink,” he also teams up with one of his heroes on Wednesday night’s CMA Music Festival special on ABC.

“I was fortunate to re-record, along with Brantley [Gilbert] and Hank Williams Jr., ‘Born to Boogie,’ from his most recent album,” says Justin.  “And for me, obviously — a hillbilly from Arkansas — that’s pretty special. You know, I’ve made no bones about it that Hank’s a huge inspiration from a musical perspective of mine.”

Justin was also lucky enough to get to hit the road with Bocephus early in his career.

“One of the first tours I ever did was with Hank Jr. and Lynyrd Skynyrd on the Rowdy Friends Tour,” he recalls. “That was seven or eight years ago. To have the opportunity to actually be onstage with him — obviously, it goes without saying — it’s a huge honor. You know, to get to do it with [Chris] Janson, who’s a good buddy of mine, you know we’ve worked together in the past. It’s gonna be a lot of fun,” he said before taking the stage at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium back in June.

You can catch the yearly CMA Music Festival:  Country’s Night to Rock special Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
