A Mississippi cop dragged into the woods by three attackers was saved by his trusted dog partner.The deputy says he pulled over last week to check on a car when he noticed the man in the front seat appeared to be passed out and the lights were off.Two men appeared nearby and distracted him as the driver then got out and all three men attacked the officer and dragged him into the nearby woods, saying they were going to slit his throat and dump his body.
The officer used his remote key to unlock the back door of his squad car, and his K-9 partner, Lucas, ran to his rescue, biting at least one of the men before they ran off.The officer has a cut on his forehead and multiple bodily injuries, and police believe the incident may have to do with gangs in the area.
