ABC/Jon LeMayKelly Clarkson announced the birth of her daughter on her Facebook and Twitter feeds on Saturday.
“Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th!” Clarkson posted. She added that both she and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, “are on cloud 9!!”

Clarkson, the winner of the first season of American Idol, was married to Brandon Blackstock in October 2013. The pair announced in November 2013 that they were expecting their first child together. Blackstock has two children from a previous marriage.
On June 4, Clarkson, calling herself “tired, swollen and miserable,” tweeted that her “baby girl needs to come on out ASAP.”
