ABC/Byron CohenJust as Kelsea Ballerini took the Opry stage on Wednesday night, the country music institution rolled out a YouTube clip of a show-stopping performance from her previous appearance in April. While all three of Kelsea’s singles so far may’ve leaned decidedly toward the pop side, the Knoxville, Tennessee, native proved she has what it takes in the authenticity department with a spot-on take on Alison Krauss’s 1999 cover of Shenandoah’s hit, “Ghost in this House.”

After finishing her mid-week set, Kelsea was surprised with the news that her top-10 single “Peter Pan” has just been certified gold. It’s the third single from her debut album The First Time to accomplish that feat. In fact, her debut single, “Love Me Like You Mean It,” has already gone platinum.
