ABC/Byron CohenKelsea Ballerini’s latest hit, “Peter Pan,” checks into the top five this week, making it the third single from her debut album, The First Time, to accomplish that feat. Since “Love Me Like You Mean It” and “Dibs” also went on to be number ones, the chances are good that “Peter Pan” will follow suit.

But you can’t rest on your laurels, so the Knoxville, Tennessee, native is already hard at work on album number two.

“We’ve only picked the first six songs,” she tells ABC Radio. “I’m still writing. I think it’s going to be a little more grown-up, and just a lot more raw, because my first record kinda captured 12 to 21, when I first started writing until I put it out. And this one’s gonna be 21 to 23, you know, or 22. So, it’s a lot more compact and a lot more detailed, but I’m excited to show that side of me.”

While she’s not giving out many details, Kelsea hints there are lots of her fellow artists with whom she’d like to work, and quite a few special guests who may show up on her sophomore record.

Look for Kelsea Friday morning as she headlines GMA’s Summer Concert Series in New York City. Good Morning America starts at 7 a.m. on ABC.
