Brad Lovell/Courtesy of Iconic Entertainment Kelsea Ballerini officially has a date with pop icon Cyndi Lauper later this month. The “Dibs” hitmaker will play the latest episode of the Web-based concert series Skyville Live January 28 in Nashville. Titled Girls Just Wanna Have Friends after Lauper’s 1985s smash Girls Just Want to Have Fun, it will also feature singer/songwriter Ingrid Michaelson, known for her hit “Girls Chase Boys.”

The show is Lauper’s latest foray into Music City as she prepares to unveil Detour, her album of country covers recorded in Nashville, in the coming months. Late last year, she released her version of Dolly Parton’s “Hard Candy Christmas” and sang with Willie Nelson on “Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off,” as he was honored in the nation’s capital. Cyndi also invited Cam to sing at her annual holiday concert for her True Colors Fund.

You can check out the latest edition of Skyville Live Thursday, January 28 at 8 p.m. ET on the free mobile video platform Go90.
