Thursday morning, Kenny Chesney will release the details of his only concert scheduled so far this year– the Flora-Bama-Jama. The August 16 show takes its name from its location: the Flora-Bama bar on the beach at the Florida-Alabama border. Kenny took a break from touring in 2014, as he focused on his new CD, The Big Revival, due out September 23.
“I’ve been holed up making a record for the last year… and anyone who knows me knows how much I miss playing, miss the fans, but especially miss the culture the people who love this music bring with them,” he says. “Obviously, this isn’t going to be one of those huge shows we do, but it’s gonna be a long day, a whole lotta music and even more fun.”
A clip from Kenny will be posted Thursday at 7 a.m. CT on his website, as well as specifics about how to get a free wrist band to enter the enclosed area where Orange Beach and Gulf Shores meet Perdido Key.
