Blue Chair Bay/Columbia Nashville On Friday, fans will finally get to hear Kenny Chesney’s album that started out as Some Town, Somewhere and morphed into Cosmic Hallelujah.

“This record is personal to me. It was an unusual path,” he says of changing the title and delaying its release as he retooled the track listing, “but I think it took the album as a whole to new places… Cosmic Hallelujah balances being aware with embracing every thrill that comes with being alive — and knowing that those thrills are right in front of you, if you just pay attention.”

You’ll have plenty of chances to catch up with Kenny in the coming days, as he makes the media rounds to promote his 17th studio album. Natalie Morales chats with the “Setting the World on Fire” hitmaker Friday morning on the beach on NBC’s Today show, before he stops by the syndicated The Ellen DeGeneres Show later. On Tuesday, he’ll check in with both The Talk and The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS.

Cosmic Hallelujah is in stores and online on Friday. You can check out Kenny’s new lyric video for the track “Rich & Miserable” on YouTube now.
