The Kansas Highway Patrol has confirmed to KMAN Monday the identity of the woman who jumped out of a car to her death Wednesday south of Wamego.
Authorities confirm 25-year-old Stephanie Bryan of Wabaunsee was the woman killed.
KHP told KMAN Monday morning the incident was initially investigated as a crime scene, but ultimately ruled it suicide.
The incident happened around 5 p.m. on K-99 on Feb. 14, just south of K-18. A trooper at the scene said a woman who was a passenger in a southbound vehicle jumped from the car, and was hit by another vehicle going the same direction.
Authorities say next of kin have been notified.
The highway patrol also identified a Frankfort woman who was killed in a rollover accident over the weekend.
KHP says Stephanie Slifer was found Saturday after being reported as a missing motorist late Friday night. Authorities say her vehicle was found on its roof on the west side of K-113 south of Carnahan Creek Road.
Her next of kin has also been notified, according to the highway patrol.
